Salam w.b.t.
"You cannot eat and drink anything throughout the day??" asked one of my batchmate unbelievably one day regarding the fasting (As-Sawm).
"Yes. We can only eat after the sunset.."
The fasting month of Ramadan is another opportunity for us to increase our good deeds and practising the sunnahs of the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. The act of fasting is not an excuse to be less productive in terms of our work or our study.
Ramadan should be the time for us to focus on how to be a good Muslim now and then. It should be the platform to set a goal and implement it in our life.
In Sahih Bukhari, there is a hadith about the reward of the fasting during Ramadan.
Narrated Abu Huraira :
Allah's Apostle said, "Allah said,'All the deeds of Adam's sons (people) are for them, except fasting which is for Me, and I will give the reward for it.'
Let's make full use of this Ramadan to get the reward as being promised by Him. (",)
